Watch Director Jean Arnault adds, "With this launch, we seek to open a new chapter in the history of the Maison’s watchmaking by creating a watch with strong horological credentials while identifiably Louis Vuitton in style." 

Design Essence of the New Tambour
Launching the new Tambour line is a pivotal moment in Louis Vuitton's watchmaking legacy. First introduced in 2002 with its distinctive drum-shaped case and innovative time interpretation, this new release marks a significant shift as Arnault introduces a groundbreaking timepiece heralding the brand's next chapter. 

A mere glance at the design offers profound insight into Arnault's vision in collaboration with La Fabrique du Temps. While previous years emphasized intricate horology and automata, this timepiece symbolizes a shift towards the integrated bracelet sports watch segment. Yet, it maintains the timeless design DNA of the Tambour, which has captivated enthusiasts for over two decades.

Departing from its traditional drum-shaped casing characterized by its rounded depth, the new Tambour model prioritizes sleekness and ergonomic comfort. With a 40mm case size and a slender 8.3mm thickness, the design molds effortlessly to the wrist, ensuring a luxurious wearing experience tailored for discerning connoisseurs. Notably, the timepiece remains faithful to its essence as a pure and elegant timekeeper.

The watch introduces two steel versions designed for daily wear, showcasing silver-grey and deep blue dials. A groundbreaking aspect of this collection lies in integrating an exclusive automatic movement and introducing an integrated bracelet — a noteworthy first for Louis Vuitton watches. The bracelet, available in stainless steel, yellow gold, rose gold, and a two-metal version, stands out as a hallmark of the Tambour's redesign. The unveiling ceremony takes place in the store's “private apartment,” high above the 5th Avenue flagship. Reserved for celebrity wardrobe consultations and high-value customers, the watch acquisition is complete with a sealed and stamped delivery box, golden scissors for the client to break the seal, and time and attention paid to a precise fitting. But the pinnacle of this bespoke experience is when the fitted watch is presented to you nestled in a handcrafted Louis Vuitton trunk.
