A Braiding of Worlds

From Show jumping to entrepreneurial success: How a Husband and wife’s shared love of horses led to the founding of The Parallèle Group

By Katelyn Rutt

In 2010, Roxane Mosleh-Ginsberg had no idea that moving her horse under the instruction of show jumper and trainer Bobby Ginsberg would mark the beginning of one of her most exciting life adventures. Bobby, a seasoned equestrian and trainer from Southampton, New York, and owner of the historic Southampton Riding Club, introduced Roxane to the Wellington show circuit and its vibrant, multifaceted community.

“Our journey into entrepreneurship was a natural braiding of our worlds,” Roxane reflects. “I came into the relationship as a professional interior designer and he came with an extensive equestrian background—as a Grand Prix rider representing Puerto Rico.”

The couple shared a mutual love for real estate, design and certainly horses. Together, they founded The Parallèle Group, a holding company that married the three entities that the Ginsbergs operate: Parallèle Design, Parallèle Properties, and Parallèle Sport Horses.

In addition to real estate, design, and a construction consultancy, Parallèle utilizes exclusive relationships with manufacturers such as Dolce & Gabbana Casa, Missoni Home, Kartell, and BOLON—with the ability to cater to the luxury residential sector.

“When we opened a real estate brokerage in Florida with an established design firm, we knew we were pushing the envelope,” Roxane reflects. “We needed the ability to offer our clients a true turnkey service from property acquisition to completion. We are a true design-build consultancy, and with our network, we knew we needed to operate in the prime markets of New York and Florida.”

With a fondness for the charm of the East Coast, the pair have a rich history in the region, with roots stretching between The Hamptons and Wellington, Florida. The Ginsbergs restored and now own the original club house of the Southampton Hunt and Riding Club, a sprawling thirty-seven-acre horse farm once known for its 1920s horse shows and events; and most notably, the grounds where Jackie Kennedy Onassis spent her formative years riding.

“As a result of the nationwide pandemic, we were ready for the next phase of life and that was the launch of Parallèle in Florida,” Roxane says. Remaining authentic to their origins extends to the group’s branding. The name “Parallèle,” written in French, reflects Roxane’s French heritage and embodies the concept of their three distinct industries—real estate, design, and equestrian —in a constant state of intersection.

“A client we’re currently working with in Delray Beach is someone Bobby has known for thirty years from his show jumping days,” Roxane adds. “Every one of our clients is tied to an element of our businesses, which is how we gave birth to the concept. The equestrian world isn’t just a sport or business, but rather a way of life. We like to say that our company operates as a multi-faceted gem that identifies us; it’s a woven web that Bobby and I braided together.”

The two entrepreneurs embody a perfect balance of yin and yang. Roxane, a type-A personality, thrives in the office environment, excelling in marketing and possessing a keen business and math acumen.

“Bobby is a much more free-spirited, type-B person,” Roxane says. “A husband and wife team is not always easy, but it works because of our balance. He always told me that unless I was willing to walk the line, I was never going to put myself in to win. I believe that mindset came from his ability to compete at the Grand Prix level; an arena where you prepare and push yourself to extreme limits, throw your hat in and aim to come out with great reward.”

Despite the unpredictable nature of the real estate market, Roxane and Bobby remain steadfast in their belief: there will always be a demand for residential real estate, construction, and home improvements.

“People’s lives are always changing; families grow, downsize, relocate, and individuals want larger or smaller homes. This momentum will always play a factor in residential real estate,” Roxane says. “The Parallèle Group was founded on the fact that human beings lead very busy and complex lives. Every day is unique and exciting and we thrive on being a part of it. In our work and life, Bobby and I both look for ‘fabulous’ in the end, whether it’s a winning horse or absolutely breathtaking property.”

Purchased by Bobby Ginsberg in 2007, this property underwent an extensive renovation and now features the original clubhouse as a residential space. Two original brick fireplaces flank the 60x40 ballroom, which retains its cathedral ceilings and original wrought-iron light and drapery fixtures. Currently serving as a residence, the house is also available for events and rental opportunities.
